'Once upon a time, there was a boy who lost his mother!' As 12-year-old David grieves, he finds the real world and a fantasy world begin to blend and the books in his room start to whisper to him. Bad things start to happen, the Crooked Man comes, and David is violently propelled into a land populated by heroes, wolves and monsters. His quest is to find the legendary Book of Lost Things.
